In addition, you are giving us the right to publish your work a second time in a larger more comprehensive work. Of course, all rights revert to the you the author. Unless expressed differently for a competition (competition page) we favor short stories under 2,500 words, prose under 1,200 words, flash Fiction under 1,000 words, and poetry under 300 words. We prefer submissions that a reader can digest within a few minutes and enjoy enough to talk about. You are writing for the reader on the go. Give us work that is sexy, sensuous, humorous, rebelliousness, slick, slightly raunchy, ironic, and very clever. Leave no subject untouched. We want you to explore everything from aardvark to zebra and we know the words politics and sex lay somewhere between those two. If you use profanity or slang, use it sparingly and ensure that it enhances your work. We need digital art for book covers or simply pictures or photos you may want to contribute that enhance your writing. If we publish your work you will receive credit. If you win a contest you will receive payment. We will use nudity that is presented in good taste. Send us what you have. We have received few photographs and artistic media. Email your submissions as an attachment. In the subject area write poetry submission, flash fiction submission or whatever it is you are sending. You may send a short biography of yourself in the body of the email. Never submit your work in the body; send your actual work as an attachment. We prefer MS Word documents. If your work is not sent as an attachment we will destroy the email without reading it. In addition, ensure you submit your work in Times New Roman 12 pt. See a sample of a short bio in the next column. If you need to use snail mail our address is POB 3082 Universal City, Tx 78148 Send your written work, digital art, and pictures to submissions. |
